Tunnel Conference
On Wednesday, September 29, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Central Subway Project joined the Laborers’ International Union of North America to host the Prime Contractor Tunneling conference at the Holiday Inn San Francisco International Airport in South San Francisco. Attendees came from all over the world to learn more about the upcoming tunneling, stations, trackwork and systems contract. The companies are all recognized leaders in their highly skilled profession and possess the bonding capacity to successfully compete for these jobs.
The purpose of this conference was to give contractors an opportunity to network and develop relationships with each other and to form teams in preparation for bid submittals early next year.
The attendees also receive information on local hiring goals and the existing job programs that can provide bidders the necessary resources to successfully complete the construction packages.
We hope to see many attendees back in San Francisco early next year when the invitation for bid will be available for the tunnel contract.
