Groundbreaking Ceremony!

Join us tomorrow for the Central Subway groundbreaking event!

This is a major milestone for the project as we begin utility relocation for the future Moscone Station and Tunnel Portal.  The event will take place on Tuesday, February 09, 2010 on Fourth Street underneath the I-80 Freeway (see more details below). Hope to see you there.

What lines are being cut to finance this ceremony?

When this opens, MUNI will charge $10 a ride. Can't wait!

The artist drawings would be more accurate if they had a urine smell!

I wonder if the planners thought ahead and are designing this project to handle muni trains longer than two cars. The current Chinatown buses pack nearly 70 people into a bus, it makes sense that you need an entire NYC style train to make this efficient and comfortable – I'm just sayin'.
